Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ripe red raspberries
  • 1 cup refined sugar

Method

Step 1

Dump the raspberries in a small saucepan.

Step 2

Pour the cup of sugar over the raspberries while in the pot.

Step 3

Set the stovetop to low-medium heat and warm the raspberries until they break down (~45 minutes), stirring frequently.

Step 4

Allow the molten preserves to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 5

If the preserves are to be eaten immediately, refrigerate the saucepan for 1 hour & 5 minutes. Otherwise, pour the warm preserves into clean glass jars. Screw the tops on the jars and submerge in hot water.
