- Pound of Unsalted Butter (4 sticks)
- Pound of All Purpose Flour (3 1/3 cups)
- Pound of Powdered Sugar (4 3/4 cups)
- Twelve Eggs
- Lemon Peel
Break the eggs and beat them in a bowl.
Add the butter, sugar and flour to the eggs and mix.
Grate and add some of the lemon peel to the cake batter.
Add nutmeg to the cake batter.
Butter loaf tins and add the batter.
Bake on 350 for about an hour or until the loaf just starts to separate from the pan.
