Ingredients

  • Pound of Unsalted Butter (4 sticks)
  • Pound of All Purpose Flour (3 1/3 cups)
  • Pound of Powdered Sugar (4 3/4 cups)
  • Twelve Eggs
  • Lemon Peel
  • Nutmeg

Method

Step 1

Break the eggs and beat them in a bowl.

Step 2

Add the butter, sugar and flour to the eggs and mix.

Step 3

Grate and add some of the lemon peel to the cake batter.

Step 4

Add nutmeg to the cake batter.

Step 5

Butter loaf tins and add the batter.

Step 6

Bake on 350 for about an hour or until the loaf just starts to separate from the pan.
